Berkeley-based Alchemy Collective, a majority Black, brown, queer and trans owned worker-owned cooperative, doesn't just make coffee, they collectively manage every aspect of the business, and share all the responsibilities and rewards of ownership, while maintaining a safe space for the community!
The Collective's small handmade batch coffee roasts are available in six labels:
ILLUMINATION: Medium roast. Constructed to stand bright on its own but shine through added cream and sugar. Smooth like black tea with herbal notes. Components: Honey processed Brazilian lot of the Cerrado Mineiro region and a washed Guatemalan lot of the Antigua region.
SNAKEBITE: Dark roast. Our blend with a bite for those looking for a sharper option. A zesty dark chocolate experience. Components: A washed Indonesian lot from Dili, Timor and a washed Colombian lot of the Huila region.
SYNTHESIS: A perfect fusion of two opposing but complimenting coffees to create a chocolate-covered cherry experience. Components: Honey processed Brazilian lot of the Cerrado Mineiro region and a natural processed Ugandan lot of the town of Paidha of the Zombo district.
